I know we are still in football season, but being from Pittsburgh and a diehard Penguins fan, some things I can let go, but they're are some things that require attention. I distinctly remember reading about how Philadelphia Flyer fans and Washington Capital fans would constantly accuse Sidney Crosby of being soft...a cry baby..basically what my avatar says. Every fan is entitled to their own opinion, which is fine. Personally, I believe the truth to be jealousy. No one, including me thought that my Penguins were going to beat the Red Wings in the Stanley Cup finals last year. But, they did. They got they're 3rd Stanley Cup, and did it by kicking Flyer and Capital ASS in the process. So, when one's team is defeated, the natural reaction is to accuse of cheating.. say the other team got lucky..anything BUT give credit where credit is due and understand that the better team won.
In last years series with the Capitals, Ovechkin was accused of being dirty. He blatantly tried to take Gonchar out, I believe in game 4 it was, and here's my question. Alex is so damn talented, why do you have to resort to cheating...to on purpose try to injure another player? It's nothing to see every Capitals game..to go the the box score, and barring a shutout by the opponent, see "Ovechkin (Goal)" every time. And to make matters worse, the guy who Ovechkin pissed off this time went after the coward, but all of Alex's little supporters(also known as jockstraps) jumped in to take the fight away from their franchise player. Alex needs to learn a little from Gretzky. If I recall, Gretzky lead the league in scoring many years, but also won a few gentlemenly awards as well. He and Mario Lemieux played the game the way it should be played. Malkin won the scoring title last year, you don't see him intentionally injuring other players. Eventually, when no one suspects it, someone is going to line up that little pansy and knock him into next week. Then all his little Capital jockstraps will cry to the league saying this isn't right...why did this happen?...and all they'll have to do is realize that Alex the _ _ _HOLE brought all of this on himself.
Hockey is a phsyical sport. If you want to be a punk ass and try to injure someone, it's going to come back to haunt you. Last year, the Penguins were smart, because it was in the playoffs. They went about getting even the right way by sending "The Jockstaps" home early and to visually show them how to win a Stanley Cup. Alex has a lot of talent, but needs to grow the f@#k up if he wants to be still playing hockey in April.

Alex The _ _ _hole!I believe Alex Ovechkin said it best in an interview. He said something like: "The Penguins fans boo him because they love him and they are jealous that he plays on the other team."
I wish Crosby played for the Caps. We could always use a good pivot man in the 2nd or 3rd lines. Ovechkin however is the harder, grittier, more sturdy and better player and if he was an "_ _ _ hole", he would be wearing a Penguins jersey not a Capitals jersey and we would be ragging on him instead of the other way around. LET'S GO CAPS!!! |

Alex The _ _ _hole!my guess is that you are in high school since you dont think players can be great scorers and tough at the same time. For the record, Lemeuix was a softy, that is no where near the "right way" to play hockey. a recent poll on cbs asked who people would want to be leading their team Ovechkin or Crosby, 68% went to Ovechkin. So really its just whinny ass Pens fans that get so worked up about the guy. You want to talk cheap shots in the playoffs last year? Look at Kunitz cross check the Caps goalie, Varley, in the back of the head. He still has a two handed slash coming to him for that, he is lucky he didnt play yesterday. broke back malkin, is a no show this year, and both he and Crosby are getting inflated stats from the home town scorer. now before you start calling me names or saying i swallow or have boobs, why not take off the homer glasses.

It wasn't worth commenting on, but I will add this...I mentioned earlier that Ovechkin was a great player and that the cheap shots were unnessecary. I just read that an 18 year old got suspended for the year for taking a cheap shot to the head on someone. So, I hope Ovie the Goal Scoring Cheapshot Machine keeps doing what he's doing. He's not worth the "C" on his sweater but can put the puck in the net better than anyone. And I added you as a favorite...so when he does get suspended AND when the Capitals get knocked out of the playoffs, you can thank me for reminding you how wrong and biased you were.

Just cause you have a man crush on your beloved "Ovie??"...your own personal nickname for him I'm sure...the point of my blog was that if you're ass talented as Ovechkin is, that cheap shots are unneccessary. Nothing has been said of Crosby this year, or even since the start of the playoffs last year, yet Alex "The Slasher" will, sooner or later, end up hurt in some way, shape or form. You say I'm on Crosby's sack?? I'm not the one smoking the Ovechkin Pony and swallowing at the same time yelling "Yes sir!! May I Have Another!"

you said it yourself unless you have played in sort of pyhsical sport you would not know. The Great 8 makes Cindy Crosby look like a pivot man. you are in that circle to. If you cant take a hit of any kind just shove it and keep playing and you and the whole hockey universe know that crosby will get his ass tore the hell up before Ovie. Get off crosby 's sack. |
